During a parliamentary probe into criminal infiltration of South Africa’s police and justice system, O’Sullivan clashed sharply with MK Party MP David Skosana, who called him a ‘spy’ and ‘thug’ based on a 2002 intelligence report.
O’Sullivan denied the accusations, defended his 36 years of service fighting crime, and abruptly left despite protests from EFF leader Julius Malema and others. The hearing, resumed after prior delays, continues with testimony from ex-police commissioner Khomotso Phahlane amid deep divisions over accountability.
