Kaizer Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung has confirmed that the club will retain co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze for the upcoming season, highlighting the importance of stability and continuity within the coaching setup. Speaking on the SoccerBeat podcast, Motaung emphasised that Kaizer Chiefs has shown significant improvement in recent months, with player morale rising and overall performance becoming more consistent compared to the past three seasons.

“Kaizer Chiefs has improved in many areas,” Motaung explained. “Anyone can see that the team is stronger and more competitive than it has been in the last three seasons. Although luck may not have favoured us when it came to winning a domestic cup this season, the progress we have made is clear.”

Motaung believes that keeping Ben Youssef and Kaze on board is crucial for the club’s long-term goals. He pointed out that in previous seasons, Chiefs struggled to be serious contenders for the Betway Premiership, often falling short of expectations. However, this season has been different, with the team returning to the race for the league title. The manager praised the co-coaches for their efforts in revitalising the squad and said that their continued involvement will help the club maintain upward momentum.

According to Motaung, the focus for Kaizer Chiefs next season will be on consolidating gains, building continuity within the coaching staff, and fostering a stable environment that can support further achievements. By retaining Ben Youssef and Kaze, the club aims to strengthen its chances of success in domestic competitions and create a foundation for sustainable performance in the future. Motaung’s comments underline the club’s commitment to progress and show that Chiefs is determined to maintain a steady course in its pursuit of trophies.
