The leadership of the Afrika Mayibuye Movement, led by EFF Deputy President Floyd Shivambu, is set to be in KwaZulu-Natal from Thursday, 29 January 2026, to Monday, 2 February 2026, with a clear mandate focused on “Total Freedom and Emancipation.” Shivambu confirmed the schedule, emphasizing the movement’s determination and strategic purpose.

Shivambu stated: “We know what we are doing! Mayibuye iAfrika!”—a rallying cry underscoring the movement’s commitment to advancing its socio-political objectives in the province. The visit is expected to involve engagements with local structures, communities, and activists, aiming to galvanize support and raise awareness about the movement’s goals.

The Afrika Mayibuye Movement has positioned itself as a grassroots-driven initiative, focusing on social justice, economic empowerment, and historical redress. Its KwaZulu-Natal tour will likely include public gatherings, educational sessions, and strategy meetings to strengthen organizational networks in the region.

Observers note that the timing of the visit is significant, coming ahead of provincial and national political activities. It represents an opportunity for the movement to reinforce its message, mobilize supporters, and lay the groundwork for future campaigns focused on freedom, emancipation, and socio-political transformation.

Community leaders and local stakeholders are expected to engage with Shivambu and the leadership, providing a platform to discuss local challenges and potential solutions aligned with the movement’s objectives. Shivambu’s remarks highlight confidence in the leadership’s strategy, suggesting that the visit will be both symbolic and action-oriented.

For supporters, the announcement serves as a motivational signal of continued activism and dedication to the cause of African liberation and empowerment. It underscores the movement’s broader vision of uniting communities behind common socio-political objectives while maintaining focus on historical and contemporary struggles.

As the tour approaches, all eyes will be on KwaZulu-Natal to see how Floyd Shivambu and the Afrika Mayibuye Movement translate their mandate of “Total Freedom and Emancipation” into practical engagement and local impact, reaffirming their commitment to mobilizing citizens and amplifying their political mission across the province.
