Kaizer Chiefs co-head coach Cedric Kaze has not ruled out making new signings before the January transfer window closes but emphasized confidence in the current squad.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday’s Premiership clash with Golden Arrows, Kaze noted that while Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns have been active, Chiefs will only enter the market if a clear opportunity arises.
“I am very happy with the squad we have,” said Kaze. “We signed 12 players at the beginning of the season… Now we have had the time to rectify that and I am sure we will see more quality from everyone.”
Chiefs face a congested schedule competing in the league, Nedbank Cup, and CAF Confederation Cup. Kaze detailed meticulous planning for the demanding travel ahead, which includes five trips in 14 days.
The club is focusing on player conditioning and recovery management as they prepare for a challenging period of fixtures.
