Two brothers accused in the murder case of rapper AKA and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane have requested a transfer from eBongweni Supermax prison in Kokstad to Westville Correctional Centre.
Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande appeared briefly in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Friday, claiming their current detention limits access to their legal team. Their request will be considered, and the case returns to court on March 4.
The brothers were extradited from Eswatini in November and join five other accused awaiting trial. AKA and Tibz were shot and killed outside a Durban restaurant in February 2023.
