The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party has convened an emergency meeting following explosive reports that many South African men were allegedly lured under the pretense of legitimate training, only to be sent into a mysterious mission abroad.
According to families and local sources, the men were promised bodyguard and security training connected to former president Jacob Zuma’s party. Instead, reports suggest they ended up in Russia, far from the opportunities they were led to expect. The allegations claim the recruits were effectively sent into a dangerous mission, raising alarm over their safety and the legality of the operation.
The shocking revelations have sparked outrage across South Africa, with calls for a thorough investigation into who orchestrated the recruitment, how the men were convinced to leave the country, and whether the MK Party played any direct role. Families are demanding answers and the safe return of their relatives.
MK Party officials are expected to address the matter publicly after the emergency meeting, as the nation watches closely. The controversy has intensified debates on the increasing risks South Africans face when recruited into foreign missions under false pretenses.
