The Pretoria High Court has relaxed the bail conditions for Crime Intelligence head Dumisani Khumalo and two senior officers, allowing them to return to their offices.
Khumalo, along with Precious Madondo and Josias Lekalakala, are facing corruption and fraud charges. They are accused of hiring an unqualified person for a senior position within the Crime Intelligence division.
A previous bail condition had barred them from entering any Crime Intelligence office in the country. The court has now granted their appeal to remove that restriction, clearing the way for them to resume their duties while their case continues.
