Julius Malema announces EFF march demanding release of Phala Phala judgement

According to EFF leader Julius Malema, a powerful march against President Cyril Ramaphosa is planned to demand the Phala Phala judgement be released immediately. The party’s social media effort to settle Ramaphosa’s farm theft scandal continues. The EFF’s march to highlight judicial transparency delays shows their willingness to hold the president responsible. The announcement has garnered attention as a political turning point.

The march will begin at 10:00 AM on November 28, 2025, at Mary Fitzgerald Square and end at the Constitutional Court. This approach shows the EFF’s desire to push their Phala Phala case to the highest court. Malema organised the gathering to mobilise supporters and boost their voice with a strong turnout. This planned protest is a preemptive move to pressure the government and courts. After the announcement, some supported the EFF’s accountability campaign, while others questioned the march’s timing and objectives.

Political discussion about the Phala Phala judgement, which derives from a 2020 burglary at Ramaphosa’s Limpopo farm, continues, with the EFF contending that the delay weakens executive oversight. This incident underscores the persistent conflict between opposition parties and the ruling administration, prompting a governance and judicial efficiency issue. The planned event will test the EFF’s impact and organisation. As the date approaches, attention remains on march preparations and government and public response.

This event poster graphic invites consideration on public demonstrations’ influence on political discourse and justice. This march could affect the Phala Phala probe and the EFF’s standing, advocating transparency and accountability. Public participation will likely determine its impact on national discourse.
