South African DJ Lerato Kganyago has found herself in the spotlight following mentions of the 12 On Hillel Villa and Spa hotel during the recent Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
The luxury boutique hotel, formerly associated with Kganyago, was brought up by a witness during the inquiry. A social media user discovered that the hotel’s website had become inactive shortly after its mention, leading to discussions online.
Kganyago, who was previously a director of the hotel, received it as a gift from her husband, Thami Ndlala, in 2022. However, she has since distanced herself from the establishment.
The inquiry revealed that an event hosted by a police officer named Vusi Ndlala took place at the hotel, attended by senior officials.
Following the testimony, user @Madumetja__M08 commented on the sudden disappearance of the hotel’s website, prompting various reactions from the public.
In a 2023 interview with TimesLive, Kganyago clarified that the hotel is owned by her husband, emphasizing her support for his ventures. The conversation surrounding the website’s deactivation drew mixed responses from users.
Some suggested that there was nothing unusual about the situation, while others pointed out that information typically remains accessible on the internet.
In a separate incident, Kganyago previously shared her concerns about being followed by a group of individuals. In July 2025, she recounted an experience where she set a trap to confirm her suspicions when she entered a restaurant.
Staff at the establishment alerted her about the individuals inquiring about her presence, which heightened her awareness of the situation.
Overall, Kganyago’s name has been widely discussed in relation to the hotel and her recent experiences, highlighting ongoing public interest in her circumstances.
