Suspended Police Minister Senzo Mchunu told Parliament’s ad hoc committee that President Cyril Ramaphosa approved his decision to disband the PKTT Senzo Mchunu.

Mchunu added that the decisions he took were in the best interests of the country and had nothing to do with any cartels or political agendas.

Responding to a question from EFF leader Julius Malema, Mchunu said, “The answer is yes,” confirming that his affidavit also reflects the President’s agreement. He insisted he acted within the legal framework and that there was no political interference in the process.
