Patriotic Alliance (PA) leader Gayton McKenzie has confirmed to eNCA that his party will be withdrawing from all coalition agreements, including the Government of National Unity (GNU).
Gayton said “enough is enough”, accusing coalition partners of making endless promises without delivering on urgent issues such as water and service delivery.
The shock move is set to shake up local governments and could have significant implications for the stability of the GNU, which has been under pressure from internal disputes.
It remains unclear when the withdrawal will take effect, but McKenzie has made it clear that the PA will no longer stand by while communities continue to suffer.
This is a developing story.
