President Cyril Ramaphosa’s official X account briefly displayed inappropriate videos on Friday, sparking backlash online. The incident coincided with his visit to the North West for a joint government meeting.

Clips featuring nudity and women in revealing clothing were quickly deleted, but not before users shared screen recordings. Social media erupted with criticism, with many mocking the president’s leadership.

The Presidency blamed the incident on a technical glitch linked to a cross-feed, apologising for the error. However, many users remain sceptical, with some suggesting the account may have been hacked.
