Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), is facing allegations of misusing public funds intended for infrastructure projects in Limpopo. Reports suggest money for building and maintaining roads and bridges may have been diverted.

According to sources, the alleged misallocation has left many communities with poor quality roads. This has impacted transportation, commerce, and access to services. Residents in affected areas have voiced their frustration, stating the promised improvements were never delivered.

Political analysts suggest that if proven true, these allegations would represent a significant breach of public trust. They note that the situation is particularly serious as it affects impoverished communities that were the intended beneficiaries of the development funds.

Critics are calling for an immediate investigation into how the provincial infrastructure budget was managed. Transparency advocates have requested audits of all related allocations to determine if any funds were misused.

Civil society groups have urged authorities to ensure accountability, warning that a failure to investigate could deepen public mistrust. Attention is now focused on whether official investigations will be launched and if the infrastructure projects will be completed.
