Cindy Mahlangu Sparks Engagement Speculation After Posting Without Ring

Former Scandal! actress Cindy Mahlangu has set tongues wagging after fans noticed her recent Instagram post showed her without the engagement ring from footballer Bongani Zungu. The 26-year-old, who shares a son with the former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, shared a series of fashion photos promoting SHEIN’s latest collection—but eagle-eyed followers quickly spotted the missing ring on her left hand.

Mahlangu, who played Violetta Mamba on the e.tv soapie, has been romantically linked to Zungu since 2022. The couple welcomed their son last year, and their relationship has been a topic of public interest. While neither has commented on the ring’s absence, the post has fueled speculation about their engagement status.

On the pitch, Zungu, now with AmaZulu, has had a steady 2024/25 season, making 14 appearances across all competitions and scoring once. The 32-year-old midfielder, capped 29 times for Bafana Bafana, remains a key player for his club despite recent injury setbacks.

Fans are divided over the significance of Mahlangu’s post. Some argue it could simply be a styling choice, while others wonder if it hints at trouble in paradise. The couple has kept their relationship relatively private, rarely addressing rumors directly.

As social media buzzes with theories, all eyes remain on whether Mahlangu or Zungu will address the speculation—or if the ring will make a reappearance in future posts. For now, the mystery lingers, proving once again that celebrity relationships remain a captivating topic for Mzansi.
