A private audio recording of Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini engaged in a fiery argument with his sister, Princess Nomkhosi, has gone viral, triggering mixed reactions and reigniting tensions within the royal family. The leaked clip, which surfaced just before the King’s recent address at the KZN Legislature, allegedly centers around a dispute over missing cattle.

Sources suggest that dismissed members of the royal household, disgruntled over their removal, may have orchestrated the leak to embarrass the monarch. While the King’s office has downplayed the incident—claiming the siblings have since reconciled—the public remains divided.

On social media, critics have condemned King Misuzulu’s tone in the recording, with some questioning his fitness to rule. “A king should embody wisdom and restraint, not public outbursts,” one user commented. Others, however, have rallied behind him, accusing Princess Nomkhosi of provocation and labeling the leak as a calculated attack to undermine his authority. “This is clearly a setup—private family matters shouldn’t be weaponized,” a supporter argued.

The controversy has cast a shadow over the monarchy’s stability, with analysts noting the recurring internal strife since King Misuzulu’s ascension. As the debate rages on, the incident raises broader questions about privacy, royal accountability, and the pressures of leadership in the public eye.

The palace has yet to address whether it will pursue action over the leak, but the court of public opinion is already in full session.
