Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has addressed the notable absence of Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi from the party’s ongoing conference, firmly stating that he bears no responsibility for Ndlozi’s non-attendance. Malema’s remarks come amidst increasing speculation about Ndlozi’s role within the party and reports of his alleged suspension.

Speaking during the conference, Malema appeared to downplay the significance of Ndlozi’s absence, emphasizing that those present at the event were the ones meant to be there. “I’m not responsible for Mbuyiseni Ndlozi; 90 percent of the people who are here are here… whoever is not here is not supposed to be here,” Malema said. His statement has only fueled further debate about potential internal tensions within the EFF.

Ndlozi’s absence has sparked widespread discussion, with some members speculating that the party’s leadership may be sidelining him ahead of the National People’s Assembly (NPA). Although no official confirmation of a suspension has been made, Malema’s comments suggest an effort to shift focus away from the controversy and toward the conference’s objectives.

Political analysts view Malema’s remarks as a strategic move to reinforce the party’s unity amidst growing scrutiny. The EFF is gearing up for critical decisions at the NPA, and maintaining internal cohesion appears to be a top priority for its leadership.

As the conference progresses, attention will remain on how the EFF addresses these apparent divisions and the potential implications for its leadership structure. With the party preparing for key electoral milestones, the handling of this controversy could shape its trajectory in the coming months.
