The Gauteng police have called on the public for assistance in locating Dr. Enoch Mandla Lamba, a 39-year-old man accused of committing fraud in Midrand in May 2023.

Provincial police spokesperson, Captain Tintswalo Sibeko, revealed that Lamba allegedly posted a fraudulent Facebook advertisement for scooters, which led a complainant to deposit R200,000 into his account under false pretenses.

The authorities are intensifying their efforts to track down Lamba and urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the investigating officer, Detective Constable Mthombeni, at 011 309 6000, or Lieutenant Colonel Mokovhi at 061 129 9371.

Members of the public can also report tips anonymously through Crime Stop at 08600 10111. The police assure that all information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

This appeal comes amid ongoing efforts to crack down on fraud syndicates operating in the region, as highlighted by the recent arrests of individuals involved in multi-million-rand fraud schemes in Midrand.
