In a compelling display of unity across political and spiritual spheres, MK Party Secretary General Floyd Shivambu and African Transformation Movement (ATM) leader Vuyo Zungula joined former President Jacob Zuma at the International Thanksgiving Day of the Twelve Apostles Church in Christ (TACC) in Bloemfontein. The event, led by Chief Apostle Professor C. Nongqunga, brought together hundreds of congregants in a celebration of faith, unity, and growth.

Zuma’s attendance, as a figure deeply admired by many for his role in the liberation movement, lent significant political weight to the occasion. Shivambu, sharing the experience on social media, praised the TACC for its discipline, progressive outlook, and infectious spirit. Quoting Psalm 133:1, which speaks to the beauty of unity, Shivambu reinforced the day’s overarching message.

The Thanksgiving Day celebration featured a dynamic blend of prayer, uplifting sermons, and spirited hymns, exemplifying the TACC’s mission to foster communal harmony and spiritual empowerment. Churches like TACC remain influential in South Africa, serving as pillars of hope and social cohesion across diverse communities.

Photographs shared online captured the momentous occasion, including a striking image of Zuma, Shivambu, and Zungula walking together. Their presence highlighted the intersection of faith and politics while signaling the MK Party’s alignment with institutions that advocate for unity and moral leadership.

This gathering underscores the enduring role of faith-based organizations in shaping South Africa’s social and political discourse. For Zuma, Shivambu, and Zungula, it was not just a religious ceremony but a demonstration of solidarity and a testament to the potential for unity beyond political divides.

As the TACC marked its International Thanksgiving Day, the event stood as a powerful reminder of how faith continues to influence and inspire the country’s evolving political landscape.
