  • Sinenjabulo Zungu, widow of AmaZulu legend Bonginkosi Ntuli, shared a special moment with Kaizer Chiefs founder Dr. Kaizer Motaung, commemorating his R2 million gift in recognition of his contributions to South African football.
  • Now the CEO of AmaZulu FC, Zungu documented the meeting on social media, noting her involvement in the National Soccer League’s general meeting, highlighting her journey in football administration.
  • The late Bonginkosi Ntuli, AmaZulu’s record goal-scorer, had an impressive career in the PSL, with significant contributions against teams like Supersport United and Golden Arrows.

Sinenjabulo Zungu, the glamorous widow of the late AmaZulu captain and record goal-scorer Bonginkosi Ntuli, continues to honor her late husband’s football legacy while making strides in South Africa’s soccer community. Recently, Zungu was seen celebrating a special moment with Kaizer Chiefs founder Dr. Kaizer Motaung, who received a R2 million cheque from PSL Chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza in recognition of his contributions to South African football on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

As the daughter of AmaZulu president and chairman Sandile Zungu, Sinenjabulo Zungu has football in her blood. Formerly employed in sales at Tiger Brands, she has now taken on a prominent role in the sport as the CEO of AmaZulu. Sharing the encounter with Motaung on her social media, Zungu reflected on her unexpected journey in football administration, captioning the post from the recent National Soccer League’s general meeting, “The business of football. Far from my dreams. It’s actually wild.”

Bonginkosi Ntuli, affectionately known as “Mdeva,” is remembered as one of the best talents in the PSL’s top flight, especially for his stellar performances against teams like Supersport United and Golden Arrows. The Pietermaritzburg-born striker accumulated a remarkable 10 goal contributions in 18 matches against Supersport United and another 10 in 14 matches against Golden Arrows over his nearly decade-long career, cementing his status as a powerhouse on the field.

With Sinenjabulo Zungu now leading AmaZulu, she continues to bridge her late husband’s legacy with her own aspirations, contributing to the business side of South African soccer as she helps shape the future of AmaZulu FC.
