  • Former DA MP Phumzile Van Damme has publicly urged EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi to leave the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), citing disrespectful treatment by party leader Julius Malema.
  • Van Damme took to social media to express concern over alleged instances of Malema undermining Ndlozi, suggesting Ndlozi deserves a political space where he is respected.
  • Despite Van Damme’s advice, Ndlozi reaffirmed his loyalty to the EFF, stating his commitment to the party’s goals and his intent to remain, even amid internal challenges.

EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s political future within the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has come into question following public remarks by former DA MP Phumzile Van Damme. Van Damme recently advised Ndlozi to consider leaving the EFF, describing alleged treatment by EFF leader Julius Malema as “degrading.”

Posting on social media, Van Damme highlighted instances where Malema allegedly disrespected and undermined Ndlozi. She urged Ndlozi to leave the EFF for a political environment that values his contributions and respects his dignity.

Despite the advice, Ndlozi responded by reiterating his commitment to the EFF’s mission. He acknowledged facing challenges but emphasized that his loyalty to the party and its revolutionary goals remains unwavering.

The exchange has fueled a larger conversation about internal tensions within South Africa’s political parties and raised questions about how these dynamics may affect the EFF’s unity and future direction.
