Two bodies were discovered in the Vaal River, Free State, on Friday, 11 October, in what is believed to be a tragic end to a high-profile gang-related incident. One of the deceased is thought to be Peter Jaggers, leader of the notorious Terrible Josters gang, who was allegedly kidnapped after a failed drug deal. The second body has been identified as William Peterson, a known associate of Jaggers.

The two men disappeared from the Emperor’s Hotel in Gauteng in early July, following a botched drug deal involving a 700kg cocaine shipment that vanished off the coast of the Western Cape. The disappearance led to a R50 million ransom demand by a Colombian cartel, in collaboration with the Bulgarian mafia.

After months of uncertainty, their bodies were recovered, showing clear signs of torture. Shawaal Jaggers, Peter’s wife, reportedly traveled to Johannesburg to confirm his identity, marking the grim conclusion to a violent chapter in the gang world.
