The highly anticipated Senzo Meyiwa murder trial is set to resume following a two-week adjournment. The court will see the return of Malesela Ntini, the third ballistics expert, who will continue his testimony under cross-examination.
During his earlier testimony, Ntini corroborated the findings of the first ballistics expert, Chris Mangena, confirming that the firearm seized from accused Mthobisi Mncube was the weapon used in the fatal shooting of the beloved football star.
Senzo Meyiwa, former captain of Bafana Bafana, was tragically shot and killed in 2014 while at the home of his then-girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo. The trial, which has captured national attention, is expected to shed further light on the events surrounding his death as key witnesses continue to take the stand.
