The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) firmly condemns the attempted assassination of our Gauteng Chairperson, Commissar Nkululeko Dunga, which occurred early this morning. This assassination attempt took place at his home, when his family, including his partner, two children, and old grandmother, were present.

The EFF’s report may be considered “political assassinations” because its Gauteng chairperson was targeted.

According to the media statement on the party’s x account, around midnight, strange sounds were heard on the roof, leading Dunga’s son to call for a security inspection.

It is revealed that at 2am, security personnel conducting their rounds were suddenly attacked and fired upon by armed intruders who were hiding on the roof.

The guard fired back at three shooters as eight armed attackers escaped by leaping over the wall. These men waited for two hours, prepared to execute a clearly planned and deliberate assassination attempt on a revolutionary leader.

”Fortunately, no one’s life was taken in this terrifying ordeal, but the gravity of this ambush cannot be understated,” said the statement

The EFF believes this was a calculated, carefully planned attack on the life of one of our most notable leaders in Gauteng Province.

The police discovered bullet , evidence was collected by forensic teams, and fingerprints were gathered.
