South African music industry is currently embroiled in controversy following the release of a new Amapiano single titled ‘Amalanga Awafani’.

The song, which showcased a collaborative effort from various talented artists including Mas Musiq, Lawd Weezy, DJ Maphorisa, and To StarQuality, has left fans of renowned musician Samthing Soweto in uproar.

Despite Samthing Soweto’s significant vocal contributions to the track, he was shockingly omitted from the credits upon its official release.

This omission has sparked outrage among South Africans and supporters of Samthing Soweto, accusing DJ Maphorisa and Mas Musiq of exploiting his talent without proper acknowledgment.

Fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment and have demanded that Samthing Soweto be recognized for his work on ‘Amalanga Awafani’.

Taking to social media, Samthing revealed that he is heartbroken by the music artists’ deeds.
