South African Police Service urge members of the public to be on the lookout of a white Toyota Quantum (pictured above) with the registration KX84TBGP.
This morning, 23 March 2024 at around 07:00 am, occupants of the Quantum shot a JMPD officer in the right shoulder at Mooi Street BP and shortly afterwards they fled the scene towards an unknown direction. Emergency Medical Services were called for assistance and they swiftly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, wounded officer was rushed to the hospital to receive further medical treatment. South African Police Service were also alerted aboutthe shooting and a case of attempted murder was registered for further investigation.
Anyone who spots the Quantum pictured above is urged to contact the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or report at the nearest police station, information provided to police will remain confidential.
