The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation: HAWKS in Limpopo Province is deeply saddened to announce the untimely passing of Lieutenant Colonel Matimba Maluleke, the Hawk Communication Commanding Officer. Lieutenant Colonel Maluleke passed away on Friday, 08 March 2024, in hospital after a brief illness.

Lieutenant Colonel Maluleke was a stalwart within the HAWKS, known for his unwavering loyalty, exceptional discipline, and boundless energy in his role as a communication officer. His dedication to his job was unparalleled, and he was highly respected by his colleagues, managers, and all stakeholders.

Throughout his tenure, Lieutenant Colonel Maluleke maintained a very good working relationship with the media houses, which played a crucial role in the dissemination of information regarding priority crimes. His professionalism, coupled with his warm personality, made him a highly regarded figure in the media fraternity.

The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation in Limpopo Province extends its heartfelt gratitude to the media houses for the conducive and productive relationship they shared with Lieutenant Colonel Maluleke. The Directorate wishes to express its desire to continue the good working relationship it has with the media houses in the future, as this partnership is essential in combating crime effectively.

 

The passing of Lieutenant Colonel Maluleke is not only a loss to the Directorate but also to the entire community. He will be remembered for his dedication, professionalism, and his ability to foster positive relationships with all those he encountered.

The Directorate extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Lieutenant Colonel Maluleke. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire others to strive for excellence in their service to the community.
