In a significant move towards inclusivity and representation, the African National Congress (ANC) has unveiled its meticulously crafted list, submitted to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) this afternoon. The ANC List stands as a testament to the party’s commitment to embrace diversity across all spectrums of South African society.

Crafted through an exhaustive and meticulous process, the ANC List is a reflection of the party’s dedication to ensuring that all voices are heard and represented within the political landscape. Embracing a wide array of sectors, the list deliberately incorporates individuals from various backgrounds, including persons with disabilities, traditional leaders, women, young people, alliance partners, and LGBTQI+ persons.

NEWS: The ANC's candidate list is finally out. It is made up of seasoned MPs and new comers. The list of 200 has the likes of Paul Mashatile, Gwede Mantashe, Malusi Gigaba, Khusela Sangoni (Diko), and Mdumiseni Ntuli. pic.twitter.com/CeaNUN3WA5

The inclusion of persons with disabilities underscores the ANC’s unwavering commitment to fostering an environment of accessibility and equal opportunity for all citizens. By actively involving traditional leaders, the party acknowledges the importance of cultural heritage and indigenous leadership within the fabric of South African society.

Moreover, the deliberate inclusion of women and young people signals a progressive step towards gender equality and intergenerational dialogue within the political arena. Recognizing the invaluable contributions of alliance partners, the ANC List reaffirms the party’s dedication to collaborative governance and coalition-building.

Notably, the acknowledgment and inclusion of LGBTQI+ persons highlight the ANC’s stance on promoting inclusivity and affirming the rights of marginalized communities.

ANC Secretary-General praised the list as a reflection of the party’s core values of democracy, equality, and social justice. He emphasized the ANC’s unwavering commitment to advancing the interests of all South Africans and building a nation where every voice is heard and respected.

As the country gears up for the upcoming elections, the ANC List stands as a beacon of diversity, unity, and progress, symbolizing the party’s vision for a brighter and more inclusive future for all citizens.
