After about six weeks of the Afca Cup Of Nations, which was hosted in Cote D’Ivoire, football around the African continent has resumed and the fans are not going to be starved of any action, in the South African Dstv Premiership, fans were treated to a great action of football at the Loftus stadium in Pretoria when the reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns hosted one of their fierce rivals Orlando Pirates, as usual, the game had a lot of controversy with the officials making decisions that left some of the people unhappy.

Mamelodi Sundowns heqd coach Rhulani Mokoena was not happy with the officiating after his side dropped points against Jose Rebeiro’s side, he felt his side would have easily won, he also blamed the unavailability of some of his Bafana Bafana stars who were not available for the game as they were given some time to rest.

Speaking after the game, Mokoena made it clear that he was not happy with a lot of things that happened in that game including his side’s performance, he said that was not the game of football as he expected and he did not like his team at all saying there should be a total of three good teams to make a good game of football.

“I don’t like the game today, it’s not a game of football and the first time I don’t like my team, not at all and of course for a game of football you need three good teams. I don’t like my team today,” he said.

A couple of controversial decisions were made by the match officials and some of them left Mokoena fuming on the touch line since most of the seemed to go against his side, he made it clear that they were not good at all, however, he refused to speak any further and said he does not want to get himself into trouble if he says what is in his mind.

“I don’t think the referees were good today and I never complain about referees but I don’t think they were good today. I think Pirates put up a fight. But where’s the level of consistency, I mean, okay let me leave it, I’m not happy with today, so the less I say the better because then I’m gonna get myself into big trouble,” he added.

The Buccaneers were awarded what looked like a soft penalty which was converted by Thapelo Xoki to help them find an equalizer, earlier on, Rhulani was fuming when Peter Shalulile was ruled offside when he looked to be onside, the game ended in a stalemate and Masandawana coach was not happy that his side dropped points.
