Parents Mourn the Loss of Their Daughter Who Took Her Own Life After Failing Matric

In a tragic incident, an 18-year-old student, Onthatile Makgale, from Orkney near Klerksdorp in the North West, took her own life after failing her matric exams. Onthatile was a student at Vaal Technical High School. The news of her untimely demise has left her family and friends in a state of shock and sorrow.

Onthatile’s parents are grappling with the harsh reality of their daughter’s passing. They expressed their deep sadness and disbelief at the turn of events. They firmly believe that Onthatile had the potential to overcome this setback. They wished she had chosen to return to school and give her matric another try.The incident has cast a gloomy shadow over the community. It has also sparked a conversation about the immense pressure students face during their academic journey, especially during crucial examinations like the matric.
