A few of our celebrity couples have done quite a bit of harm by breaking the hearts of their supporters through publicly declaring the end of some of their romantic relationships. As supporters, it is often quite easy to get attached to the thought of a certain couple and have absolutely everything about them make sense.

Nothing gets supporters as excited as finding out who their favourite celebrities are dating, especially when they are both public figures. In the name of privacy and protecting their brands, celebrities often tend to shy away from revealing their love lives which tends to be their biggest kept secret.

However, when they do begin to love one another loudly and intentionally, it leaves Mzansi absolutely smitten and invested.

While it is not a rare act that two individuals within the limelight join forces and fall in love, our public figures that have walked this route before have given Mzansi some of the most beautiful love stories that unfortunately ended in tears for either one or both parties.

Here are a few couples that shocked Mzansi when they announced their break up:

  • Nadia Jaftha and Xavier Haupt

While many have not gotten used to the idea of these couples no longer being romantically involved, we hope to see them blossom as individuals.
