Zoleka Mandela, the grand-daughter of the late former president Nelson Mandela and his late former wife Winnie Madikezela-Mandela has died. The Mandela family has confirmed Zoleka’s death. We’ll have details in our later bulletins.
“On monday, September 18th. Zoleka Mandela was admitted into hospital for ongoing treatment for metastatic cancer to the hip, liver, lung, pelvis, brain and spinal cord.
Recent scans revealed signifcant disease progression including fibrosis in the lungs as well as several emboll.
Zoleka passed away on the evening of Monday, September 25th surrounded by friends and family.

The When Hope Whispers author reported in August of last year 2022 that she had been diagnosed with cancer in her lungs, liver, ribs, spinal cord, and hips. She is the granddaughter of the late South African former president, Nelson Mandela. She had two cases of breast cancer before surviving them.
