Eyadini Lounge have put operations on hold following the death of co-founder,Jabulani Mjey Zama. News of his passing was confirmed by Isolezwe after the statement was share on Saturday, he suffered a severe stroke. Due to his health condition and road to recovery, Eyadini Lounge will be temporarily closed until further notice.
Jabulani “Mjay” Zama, born and bred in Umlazi. Zama started out as a policeman who
then went into the towing business, driving
his own tow trucks in Umlazi.
He then later ventured into the hospitality
industry with Eyadini Lounge. The venue was
puilt from scratch in 2009. The business only started operating in 2011.
Last year in May, rumours began spreading that popular Eyadini Lounge owner Jabulani “Mjay” Zama was critically ill and admitted in hospital.
But the owner of the lounge in Umlazi, Durban, that has attracted celebrities and politicians, went on to clearing the rumours.
And confirmed that he was admitted in hospital but denied he was never in a critical condition.
Without a doubt Eyadini was one of the most popular hangout venues and a vital tourism hotspot for KwaZulu-Natal. Eyadini Lounge is located in Umlazi, Durban, kwaZulu-Natal.
Eyadini was the first place that many people outside the province want to visit and experience when on holiday in Durban.
The venue also attracts top South African artists, such as Babes Wodumo, Distruction Boyz, DJ Merlon, Tipcee and DJ Tira also performing there. With much of its popularity attributedto viral social media photos of people walking into the Eyadini venue, it’s arguhke the best place to be.
