MG Gumede’s Daughter shines at EFF Gala dinner and wins High School essay competition

The gala event, attended by prominent political figures and educators, learners, showcased the remarkable writing prowess of the nation’s youth. Among them, MG Gumede’s daughter stood out as a shining example of academic excellence and linguistic proficiency. Her essay, written in the rich and evocative Isizulu language, impressed the judges and left a lasting impact on all who heard her deliver it. The EFF, is known for its commitment to education and youth empowerment, went the extra mile to support the participants. They arranged transport from their homes to Johannesburg, the location of the gala dinner. Additionally, the party ensured that the students’ comfort was not compromised by booking hotels for them during their stay.

“It is heartening to see the EFF investing in the future of our nation by encouraging academic pursuits among our youth,” said a delighted MG Gumede, the proud father of the essay competition winner. “I am immensely proud of my daughter’s achievement and grateful to the EFF for providing this wonderful opportunity.” The essay competition’s focus on the Isizulu language showcased the party’s dedication to preserving and promoting South Africa’s diverse cultural heritage.
