Once a player is associated with a massive team, then it’s difficult to shine elsewhere. His next move becomes classified in a way that the fans can either claim it’s an upgrade or a downgrade. Now, there has been a lot said about the Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat who has gone awol at Naturena. Which isn’t an ideal way for a professional footballer and role model should handle his career. He was last seen towards the end of June in training, but he didn’t return to the club to begin his pre-season preparations. This was good enough for fans to think that he has opted to move to another club. Although Chiefs stated that they’ve reached out to him and his representatives, nothing has come back to them in terms of their plans.

Since Chiefs wanted to know if he’ll still want to carry on and be regarded as their player. At the moment, the former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker is a free agent after his contract with Chiefs ended in June. Now, the Orlando Pirates legend Steve “Chippa” Lekoelea has stated that it would be ideal for Billiat to swallow his pride and return to Amakhosi. As he felt that he would regret leaving Naturena since he’s been seen as a valuable player. “Because to be honest, his performance has dropped. He will regret leaving Kaizer Chiefs. They are a big company they are not a small team. Leaving Chiefs will cost him a lot of things,” said Lekoelea speaking to KickOff.

According to the former midfield maestro by the looks of things Billiat wants nothing to do with Chiefs which can be seen as career suicide. Since Amakhosi has stuck with him despite having challenges with his performance. The 33-year-old attacker still has a lot to think about when it comes to his football career because he’s still talented which makes him a rare breed of a player. “It shows he no longer wants to play for Kaizer Chiefs, it’s clear he wants to go to another team,” Lekoelea tells KickOff.
