Mamelodi Sundowns star hospitalised after emergency health scare

Mamelodi Sundowns centre back defender Rushine De Reuck who joined the club on a lucrative bumper five year contract in January 2021 from Maritzburg United has been hospitalised after an emergency health scare.

News of Rushine De Reuck’s mystery health drama emerged as his current side Mamelodi Sundowns have jetted off to the Netherlands where they will play second division side NAC Breda next month as part of their pre-season ahead of the new campaign.

On Thursday, Rushine De Reuck’s longtime sweetheart Brooklyn Goosen took to her Instagram stories where she shared a photo where the Mamelodi Sundowns centre back defender had been hospitalised in an undisclosed location after an emergency health scare.

From the shared photo on the popular platform, the Mamelodi Sundowns jersey number 28 was also captured wearing a patient identification wristband which contains his famous name while resting on his hospital bed.

As part of her caption, Rushine De Reuck’s stunning girlfriend Brooklyn Goosen indirectly revealed that her partner is not seriously ill as she wrote, “Thank you God”.

Mamelodi Sundowns centre back defender Rushine De Reuck who is one of the most pivotal players at the club has made 68 appearances in all competitions during his two and a half year spell at the Chloorkop based outfit and has rattled the back of the net two times.

According to his player profile on German website 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘵, Rushine De Reuck has made 41 appearances in the colours of Mamelodi Sundowns in the DStv Premiership and has rattled the back of the net once and has also made 15 appearances in the CAF Champions League competition.

In addition, the 27 year old Cape Town born footballer has also made 12 appearances in the colours of his club in domestic cup competitions and has rattled the back of the net once.
