The Senzo Meyiwa trial has been adjourned to Thursday. This comes after Zandile Khumalo who was testifying today revealed that she was not feeling well.

The judge was evidently not happy about Khumalo’s behaviour which was seen as a delaying tactic. He said this is one of the reasons why the Senzo Meyiwa trial was experiencing delays.

The new judge wants the trial to move forward, and this is why he was not happy about this development. It is not clear if the witness will be feeling well tomorrow when the case will be proceeding.

South Africans are tired of delays in this trial, and want it to be resolved for the sake of justice. The five accused have been in custody for some time. They all pleaded not guilty.

Social critics said they are eagerly waiting for the witness to be cross examined. The case has dragged for a long time, and a speedy resolution is what everyone is hoping for.

“I was really waiting for the cross examination to begin. She is the one who wrote to President Cyril Ramaphosa about the delays in the trial and called for a speedy resolution of the case,” said a social critic.
