Following a squad overhaul at AmaZulu, several players, including some former Kaizer Chiefs players, have become available for transfer. It appears that one of them could be returning to Soweto to join Moroka Swallows.

Moroka Swallows recently made a strong statement by signing Andile Jali as a free agent after his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns. The club’s appointment of veteran coach Steve Komphela, who has a close relationship with Jali, likely played a role in securing the player’s signature. As Swallows continues to rebuild their squad, they are reportedly targeting the signing of Dumisani Zuma, a former player of both Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu.

Zuma initially joined Chiefs under the guidance of Komphela, who brought him in from Bloemfontein Celtic. However, disciplinary issues plagued Zuma during his final season at Chiefs, leading to his release from the club two seasons ago. He then joined AmaZulu on a free transfer but was subsequently released after just one season. According to Soccer-Laduma, Swallows could provide Zuma with an opportunity to reunite with his former coach.

The publication suggests that Swallows is working diligently behind the scenes to strengthen their squad after finishing in the top eight last season. Zuma is believed to be one of the players they are targeting. With Komphela at the helm, Swallows aims to provide a conducive environment for Zuma and Jali to put their disciplinary issues behind them and focus on performing for the team in the upcoming season.

Komphela’s belief in his ability to manage and guide Zuma and Jali underscores the potential reunion at Swallows. The club is determined to ensure they have a strong squad for the upcoming season, and they view Zuma as a valuable addition who can contribute to their ambitions.

In summary, former Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu player Dumisani Zuma could be on his way to Moroka Swallows, where he would have the opportunity to work with his former coach, Steve Komphela. Swallows is actively working to strengthen their squad and believes that they can help Zuma overcome his disciplinary issues and excel in the upcoming season.
