City Press revealed that it has seen a letter which was sent by Independent Police Investigating Department head Jennifer Ntlatseng in which she informed former police commissioner in the Republic of South Africa Khehla Sitole and his alleged accomplices to appear before Ipid deputy director for investigations Osborne Khanyi.

Now it has been reported that The Pretoria High Court ruled that the former police commissioner Sitole, Tsumane and Vuma had “breached their duties” by not handing over or declassifying documents for the police watchdog.

City Press has learnt from sources within the security cluster that the three refused to make warning statements on Friday and did not show up at the Ipid headquarters in Pretoria.

General Khehla John Sitole SOE was National Commissioner of the South African Police Service from 2017 to 2022 when he left the post after consultation with the President of South Africa and African National Congress, Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa.
