I believe daily life is full of challenges for everybody. Widows find it especially challenging. Their days can be filled with heartbreak, fear, sadness. Nothing is ever easy after losing some you truely love.
One lady who goes by the name Mbali took to Twitter to share her struggles as a widowed mum, many people responded to her post with words of encouragement.
In her post Mbali said, “I love my kids, but being a widowed mom has got to be the most challenging thing I’ve ever done.”
It is a difficult position to be in and many could relate with Mbali’s situation, others started sharing their experiences as a way to encourage Mbali.
The parenting challenges faced by widows are many as they have to face the changed circumstances and take on the role of both mother and father. In addition to dealing with loneliness a widow may sometimes feel burdened due to added responsibilities.
Mbali was crying out that her challenges are immense; as she has to play the role of both mother and father, and she feels overwhelmed.
I say solder on, don’t give up, continue being a good parent to your children.
