Bester gets new legal representation and his case is Postponed to August

It seems like the case of Thabo Bester’s famous prison break will take a long time to end. This will probably be brought by the delays which are caused by unforeseen circumstances such as changes of legal representatives and new evidence being brought forward.

The latest developments in Bester’s prison escape case is that his lawyers, Adv Jeremiah Pela and instructing attorney Tsireledzo Ndou, have withdrawn from the case. It is understood that a new lawyer has come on record to take over.

During his virtual appearance from the Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Center, Thabo Bester confirmed getting a new legal representative. Kabelo Matee was confirmed to be Bester’s new legal representative after the withdrawal of Adv. Jeremiah Pela and instructing attorney Tsireledzo Ndou from the case.

The case against all the accused has been postponed to August 8. Zolile Sekeleni and Nastassja Jansen remain on bail. Zanda Moyo did not apply for bail. All others remain behind bars until next appearance. In some other news, the famous prison escapee seems to be enjoying an expensive prison lifestyle.
