Five Suspects Have Been Shot Dead in Durban After They Allegedly Opened Fire on The Police

Reports coming in from Durban say that five suspects have been shot and killed in Marianhill, west of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal by the police.

One of the men was a prime suspect in the KwaZulu-Natal province’s most wanted criminals list and was sought for various crimes including murder and armed robbery. He has been reported as a very dangerous and highly armed criminal before he was shot dead today in a suspected gunfire with the police.


According to various media platforms, It appears that the suspects opened fire on the police who had closed in on and cornered the suspects leaving officers no choice but to return fire. The police responded fire for fire which left 5 suspects dead instantly. However,

Four of the five suspects are yet to have their identities profiled. Subsequently, the police recovered four firearms, including two pistols, which were in the possession of the suspected criminals. The police is yet to release details of the shooting; however, it is just happening which implies that they would shortly. The details are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
