A popular political commentator and broadcast-journalist named Aldrin Sampear took to his official Twitter account earlier this morning (Tuesday 6 June) to make a post in which he criticized Julius Malema for promoting a public lecture by a man who supported and celebrated Uganda anti-homosexuality bill named Prof P.L.O Lumumba, Aldrin Sampear criticized Julius Malema for promoting a public lecture by Prof P.L.O Lumumba even though Malema is against Uganda’s anti-homosexuality bill.
However, Julius Malema responded by saying that it is wrong to censor people simply because they have different opinions, and Julius Malema also said that he believes that having people with different opinions makes a discourse exciting…
“I think you answered your question; you don’t censor a different opinion on your platforms simply because you disagree. Allowing different views makes a discourse even more exciting.” – Wrote Julius Malema on Twitter.
