Soweto Giants Kaizer Chiefs have not had the best of times in recent weeks. The return of their glory days continues to allude them, as they are on course for the 8th consecutive season without a silverware.

Following the appointment of Arthur Zwane as the sole head coach of the squad, many fans were hopeful that Mangethe would lead them to the promised land; but he seems to be struggling compared to his noisy neighbors Orlando Pirates( who completed a domestic double) and bitter rivals Mamelodi Sundowns ( who claimed the DSTV premier league silverware).

Speaking to Mamelodi Sundown’s current transfer target Mendieta, the young star had an interesting perspective regarding the transfer shouts across social media platforms by Kaizer Chiefs fans:

“I can only join a team that guarantees me winning tittles and playing champions league. I want to contend” said the young player.

Kaizer Chiefs failed to close their season on a high note as not only did they fail to secure a single silverware, but they also failed secure CAF champions league next season. Mangethe and his men have a very long way to go, if they are going to start being attractive talented prospects and star players. With the pressure from the fans mounting up, next season will be Arthur Zwane’s make or break for his career.
