His wife of 13 years was allegedly impregnated by another man and he is now demanding P100 000 for the damages incurred.

According to Rankosha, his marriage ended because he caught his wife red-handed cheating on him. The wife then filed for divorce in 2020.

Although he has come to terms with the fact that his marriage is over, what Rankosha cannot get over is how Onalethata Kesolofetse, a man he suspects to have been having an affair with Duduetsang, humiliated him.

Rankosha is convinced that not only did Kesolofetse have an affair with his wife, he also impregnated her.

Court documents reveal that sometime in 2020, Rankosha approached Mmadinare customary court alleging that Kesolofetse was wrecking his marriage and wanted him to be fined 12 cows or P 100 000 based on the evidence he submitted to court.

However, the Mmadinare court dismissed his case saying it lacked supporting evidence.

Aggrieved Rankosha appealed the judgement, but the Customary Court of Appeal upheld the

Rankosha has since taken his case to Francistown High Court. This past Tuesday, Kesolofetse filed his intention to oppose Rankosha’s appeal, arguing that the matter has been overtaken by events as the marriage of Duduetsang and Rankosha has been dissolved.

He argues that the marriage that he is accused of wrecking does not exist. He denied ever having an affair with Duduetsang let alone impregnating her.

Kesolofetse says Rankosha’s allegations and claims are based on suspicion and hearsay. The case continues on the 3rd of August 2023.
