With the untimely death of Tiego Moseneke in a car crash on 19 April 2023, our country has been robbed of a formidable activist, keen lawyer and astute businessman.

Tiego Moseneke is believed to be a close friend of the former Economic Freedom Fighters National Chairperson and Senior Council Advocate Dali Mpofu.

Few hours ago, Advocate Dali Mpofu said that, ” Still so hard to believe that my brother, comrade in arms, university roommate & dearest friend Tiego Moseneke is no more..Here we were leading a Wits student protest through Braamfontein during the State of Emergency in 1985 or 86! He was a dedicated comrade & revolutionary! RIP”.

Even president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa visited the family yesterday.

Tiego Moseneke’s funeral will be on Wednesday. Starting 8 at Akasia hall then 10:00 Zandfontein cemetery.

May Tiego spirit live on. He truly was a fearless leader of the mass democratic movement.
