Kaizer Chiefs may have picked maximum points in their last match, but there were notable absentees in the lineup. Ashley Du Preez and Khama Billiat were some of the players that were absent from the lineup. Coach Zwane reportedly stated that there were things Ashley said to him which made him drop him although he was going to be in the starting lineup.

In accordance with the report, Ashley went to his coach Zwane and told him that he did not feel ready to play . Ashley was supposed to be in the starting lineup, but he had a negative message for his coach. ” Ash was actually supposed to start the game but he came to me and said ” coach, I’m not really comfortable. ” These were the words of coach Zwane as he was highlighting what made him drop Ashley.

Khama Billiat on the other hand is reported to have resumed light training . Kaizer Chiefs will be returning to action on the 7th of January against Sekhukhune United. Kaizer Chiefs will be hoping to maintain their good form as they collected the maximum points.

The World Cup break should have provided coach Zwane an opportunity to work on what was lacking in his squad. The team has been playing good football, but there is a need for the team to create those goal-scoring opportunities. A team may be playing good football, but it becomes worthless if it fails to get the goals. Since the January transfer window opened, Kaizer Chiefs has an opportunity to sign strikers who are goal hungry and determined to put smiles on the fans.
