1. Masks are still compulsory indoors.
It is compulsory for individuals to wear masks indoors, however the regulations have been changed for outdoors.
Individuals are not required to wear masks outside, however it is a requirement to wear them inside shops, buildings and in schools.
2. Social distancing
1 meter social distancing space should be kept between individuals. This requirement applies both inside and outside venues, except at schools.
This will ensure that individuals reduce the chances of spreading the virus amongst themselves and others
3. Proof of vaccination or negative PCR test.
For individuals travelling into the country, they need to provide a cpr test not older than 72 hours or proof of vaccination in order to get access into the country.
If the individual is unvaccinated and wants to get vaccinated, they will be given the choice to do so upon arrival.
President Cyril ramaphosa also announced that South Africans have been given the chance to give suggestions as to what should the new coronavirus regulations be. They are given until the 16th of April to submit their suggestions.
