A couple was kicked off Tui Cruises for allegedly having loud sex.
Renate F. and her husband Volker, who embarked on a two week trip in the Caribbean, were asked to pack their bags and leave the Mein Schiff 5 in Barbaodas on the first day of their trip.
According to reports, Renate F admitted that they were having very loud “consensual” sex and had forgotten to close the balcony door.
The couple was then asked to leave “as per the captain’s orders”.
“Due to a security-related incident, we have made use of our house right and asked the guests to leave the ship,” Tui Cruises told Reise Reporter.
Tui Cruises argued that in its conditions it states that if any person’s behaviour is “disruptive, threatening or abusive, or likely to cause danger or distress to others” they will be asked to leave immediately.
“The carrier may terminate that passenger’s travel arrangements without any liability on the carrier’s part. And the passenger will not be entitled to any refund for unused or missed services or costs incurred.”
The German couple are now suing the cruise line.
The couple have taken legal action against the cruise company for damages, compensation for “pain” and reimbursement of travel expenses.
