Isencane Lengane star Siyacela Dlamuka has sparked intense debate among viewers after making controversial remarks about polygamy, money and ukuthwala during the latest episode of the Moja Love reality show.
The episode, which aired on Sunday, 4 October 2026, saw Siyacela openly discuss his desire to become a polygamist and have multiple wives. However, his comments about how he would finance such a lifestyle left viewers deeply unsettled.
Siyacela acknowledged that having several wives and households would require substantial financial resources. During the discussion, he reportedly mentioned extreme measures, including carrying out a cash-in-transit heist, while speaking about the lengths he could potentially go to in pursuit of wealth.
He also discussed ukuthwala and claimed that he had visited places where the practice was allegedly carried out to learn more about what would be required. The conversation became even more disturbing when he reportedly suggested that he could be willing to sacrifice a family member if that was allegedly necessary to obtain money.
The remarks prompted strong reactions from viewers, although they have not been presented as evidence that Siyacela has committed or intends to commit any crime. They were made during a reality television programme and remain part of the discussion surrounding the episode.
His brother, Nqobani Dlamuka, appeared visibly concerned by what he heard. Nqobani questioned Siyacela’s apparent interest in dangerous or spiritual means of acquiring wealth and said he would rather rely on guidance from his ancestors. He also expressed concern about the possible consequences of pursuing such practices.
Siyacela and his wife, Thando Dlamuka, have been familiar faces on Isencane Lengane for years. The couple married as teenagers in 2019 and their relationship has been extensively documented on the show.
Their marriage has faced considerable public scrutiny, with Thando previously speaking publicly about abuse she says she experienced. Siyacela’s latest comments have therefore added another controversial chapter to their story.
The episode has reignited discussions about polygamy, financial responsibility, traditional beliefs and the dangers associated with extreme attempts to obtain wealth.
