Actress and media personality Lesedi Matsunyane-Ferguson recently had social media users laughing after sharing an unforgettable experience she had while driving through the streets of Johannesburg. Posting the story on TikTok, Lesedi recalled an interaction with a man living on the streets that quickly turned into a moment she never expected.
According to Lesedi, she was stopped at a traffic light when a man approached her vehicle. Like many people who ask motorists for assistance, he politely requested something to eat as well as some money. Unfortunately, Lesedi did not have anything she could give him at the time. She explained that she had to tell him she could not help, expecting the conversation to end there before the traffic lights changed.
Instead, the man reacted in a way that completely caught her off guard. Rather than walking away disappointed or becoming angry after being turned down, he leaned closer to her vehicle and planted a kiss on the closed driver’s side window. His unexpected gesture left Lesedi frozen in surprise because it was the last thing she imagined would happen during the encounter.
What made the situation even more memorable was what the man said afterwards. Remaining calm and cheerful, he simply smiled and told her, “It’s fine, next time,” before walking away as though nothing unusual had happened. His relaxed response and optimistic attitude left Lesedi speechless, and she admitted she could not stop thinking about the bizarre but amusing interaction.
Her TikTok video quickly attracted thousands of views, with viewers finding the story incredibly entertaining. Many people flooded the comments section with jokes, saying the street dweller confidence deserved recognition. Others laughed at how politely he handled the rejection, with some suggesting he behaved like a true gentleman despite the unusual farewell.
Several users also shared similar experiences they had encountered while driving, saying that interactions with people on Johannesburg’s busy streets can sometimes be unpredictable and unexpectedly funny. Others praised Lesedi for telling the story with a sense of humour instead of reacting negatively.
The light-hearted incident has since become another viral social media moment, proving that everyday encounters can often create the funniest memories. Lesedi storytelling and genuine reaction made the experience even more enjoyable for viewers, who continue to laugh at the man’s unforgettable response and hopeful promise of “next time.”
